England Rugby Star hosts show in New Shop

An England legend has met 10 of Bristol's unsung heroes.

Matt Dawson hosted a special awards ceremony last night, which was held to celebrate a new menswear shop opening in the Galleries.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star wore a new suit made by Slaters, based on Union Street, for the event celebrating Bristol's inspirational men.

And from thousands of applications, Robin Freeman was crowned Bristol's Ultimate Measure of a Man.

The 19-year-old raises awareness about microcephaly which is a congenital condition associated with incomplete brain development after being diagnosed with the illness when he was eight.

He said: "Just to be nominated is good, to know someone is appreciating what you do is great."

Paul Slater, managing director of Slaters, said: "We were absolutely thrilled to recognise this group of truly incredible men, providing them with a VIP experience to remember."

"It was great to celebrate not only the opening of our new store, but also the start of our relationship with the local community."
