DTZ's Williams to join Hark Group

DTZ's head of retail investment, Mark Williams, is to leave the firm after 26 years to join retail developer the Hark Group.

Williams has been appointed a shareholder and partner at the company. Working alongside founding member David Henderson-Williams and Rob Cossey, Williams will take on responsibility for expanding the group's portfolio and advising clients on development funding projects.

He was senior director at DTZ, leading shopping centre investment and development funding across the UK and Europe since 2003. He is also on the executive board of the BCSC and chairs the BCSC Secondary Task Force committee.

Williams said: "I have worked with David and Rob since the late 1980s as well as with their external joint venture partners who are supporting our expansion. We share the same philosophy and this is a natural progression for me to put my money where my mouth is! It is also a great time to be joining."

Cossey added: "The addition of a new partner signals a major step forward for us as shopping centre specialists and expands our development funding activity."
