Mark is a co-owner and leads the investment programme at Hark. Prior to joining Hark, he was the Chairman of DTZ EMEA Retail Capital Markets Group. Key projects he led on were the funding of Liverpool One, the purchase of the RAC by Lex; property advisor to M&S in their defence in 2005, the sale and marketing of Calpers interest in the Time Warner building New York to EMEA investors and the sale of Safeway to Morrisons. In addition Mark led the bank restructuring team at DTZ.

Mark was Hark Group's lead advisor since its formation, as well as with their key JV partners.

From December 2017 Mark is President of Revo, the leading industry body representing owners, occupiers and Local Authorities (and all the consultants) in the area of retail and leisure property. He is also past Chair of the Government's Retail Property Taskforce and sits on the Property Industry Alliance board. Mark is also non-executive Chairman of the Newcastle Strategic Area board - a body representing Newcastle City Council, NE1, strategic investors and occupiers in the City Centre, both Newcastle and Northumbria Universities and Newcastle Hospital Trust.

Mark holds an MBA from the University of Sussex, a degree from the University of the West of England and is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

In his spare time he enjoys skiing, triathlons and golf.
